Mindo, Ecuador is one of the bird capitals of the world. Between Mindo and the Quito Botanical Garden, we saw some really spectacular orchids, birds, butterflies, and other tropical plants. The diversity of the plants and animals there is astounding. Pictured here is a native hummingbird perched on my hand feeding on sugar water.
