Even though Punxsutawney Phil predicts 6 more weeks of winter, our strawberries are nice & cozy under the frost blankets. In September, we planted nearly two acres, and we're looking forward to them ripening up in a couple months. We'll have three varieties this year at our pick-your-own strawberry patch: Sweet Charlie, Ruby June, and Chandler. In the weeks to come, we'll be monitoring the temperatures and keeping the blooms protected with these blankets. We anticipate opening our u-pick patch in Smithfield in early April as well as our greenhouse with a variety of bedding plants. We look forward to seeing you this spring!
