Huge thanks to everyone who came out to pick berries today! The patch was well picked, but there are still some ripe ones out there, though it's more of a hunt. We're optimistic that some will continue to ripen overnight. In anticipation of the several days of rainy weather ahead, we're trying to get the patch picked completely clean on Saturday morning. We also have yellow squash & zucchini available to pick on the far rows of the strawberry patch. Thanks SO much for your support! 🥰

Sunrise in the patch! Jake snapped this photo as he was walking the rows with his coffee this morning. Morning time in the patch is my favorite - feeling the crisp air & listening to ALL the birds singing. Incredibly peaceful. It's a really great way to start the day!

We have plenty of sweet, ripe strawberries as well as delicious yellow squash & zucchini for you to pick. We have traditional (green) zucchini and also yellow zucchini too! Try some of each.

 After a day of rest the patch is loaded with ripe, delicious berries to be picked! The weather is just perfect and the pickin' is easy. We have lots of yellow squash & zucchini ready to be picked too!

We had such a great time tonight making these strawberry ice cubes. Looking forward to adding a festive splash of flavor to our drinks tomorrow 💕

It's shaping up to be yet another great week of weather! Thankfully, Mother Nature has been good to us this season. Several folks have asked us how long the berry picking season is going to last - great question! This spring has been cooler and drier than normal (La Niña), so we're predicting that our picking season is going to last longer than it usually does. The cooler weather has allowed our plants to continue producing blooms deep into May. It typically takes 30 days from bloom to berry, so we predict we'll still be picking berries a month from now. We grow 5 different varieties of berries, so we *might* even still be picking at the beginning of July. Time will tell, but all signs are pointing to a long strawberry season.

Also, huge shout out to every.single.one. of you for helping keep our plants healthy by keeping them picked. That's also going to help extend the strawberry season! Thank you for supporting us!

Funny moment of the day: I work at an elementary school. When I walked into a classroom today, all the students were quiet and working diligently. As soon as I walked in, a student [loudly] exclaimed, "Hey Mrs. Browder, I went to your strawberry patch yesterday - WOW, they are SO good and juicy!" So, don't take my word for it - take his. Anyone who works around little kids knows, they'll tell it like it is!
