Plant of the Day: Coleus! Perfect for adding a splash of color to a shady landscape! They are dazzling in masses or mixed with other annuals in beds, borders, and containers. Coleus pairs well with impatiens, which also thrive in the shade. We have a dozen different types of coleus in pots of several sizes, including the Kong Coleus!

In looking at the forecast, the heat is headed our way and the frost is behind us! This is perfect for the continued ripening of the berries. Today, we rolled up all 24 frost blankets to get them out of the fields in preparation for picking. They roll up like a huge snowball and will be stored in the shed until the winter. Before rolling them up, we first collected the rock bags--pictured here being tossed into a bin on the tractor. Collectively, the rock bags weigh around 13,000 lbs. A great day filled with teamwork!

The berries are continuing to ripen a bit each day, but they're not quite ready yet. We're eagerly awaiting and we'll continue to provide updates here. 🍓
