U-Pick Strawberry Patch OPEN Tuesday & Wednesday, May 4th & 5th from 8AM - 6PM

Hello!  We want to say thank you for such an amazing weekend at the strawberry patch.  Over two tons of strawberries were picked in the past two days.  We'll be closed tomorrow to allow the patch to recover from this weekend's picking.  By Tuesday, there will be PLENTY of ripe berries.  We'll be open Tuesday & Wednesday, May 4th & 5th with extended hours: 8AM - 6PM both days. 🍓🍓

Our u-pick strawberry patch is at 14489 Bethel Church Lane, Smithfield, VA 23430. Strawberries are $10/basket, cash or check only.  We provide the baskets to pick.  We also offer a variety of bedding plants in our greenhouse.  Plants are $3 per 4pack OR $25/flat.  There are 12 total 4 packs per flat.  Thanks so much for supporting us! 😊

OPEN Sunday May 2nd, 1PM - 4PM

 Our U-pick Strawberry Patch in Smithfield will be OPEN Sunday, May 2nd from 1PM - 4PM. We want to thank you for coming out today - it was a great day at the patch! We still have ripe berries available to pick and even more will ripen over night. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow 😊

Picking Tip: Now that all the varieties are ripe, you're welcome to pick anywhere in the patch. However, some areas are MUCH easier to pick in than others. For a better picking experience, don't start picking at the beginning of the rows, walk at least half way down before you start. Currently, the majority of the ripe berries are in the back patch on the right hand side (Ruby Junes). There are also lots ripe in the back quadrant of the front patch (Chandlers). There are also some Sweet Charlies ripe as well, back patch, left side.

Good morning! Picking conditions update: There have been a steady stream of pickers this morning, but there are still in incredible amount of ripe strawberries in the patch. If you're debating on whether to come out today, it's definitely a great day to come! The weather is nice and the berries are plentiful. Also, Saturday SALE - Pick two baskets of berries you get a FREE 4 pack of bedding plants. We have a variety of flowers, herbs, and vegetable plants.

Our Pick-Your-Own Strawberry Patch will be OPEN Saturday, May 1 from 8AM - 4PM.  The heat caused an extraordinary number of berries to ripen up this week.  It's rivaling the most ripe berries we've ever had in the patch.

OPEN Friday, April 30 & Saturday, May 1st from 8AM - 4PM

The patch is bursting with berries!  All three varieties are currently ripe.  It's very easy pickins.  If you've been waiting for when we have TONS of ripe berries, this is an excellent time to come!  The heat from the last few days ripened loads of berries, plus it makes 'em sweet.  Great time to pick!  Come on out Friday, April 30 & Saturday May 1st from 8AM - 4PM.  14489 Bethel Church Lane, Smithfield, VA 23430.  $10/basket, cash or check only.  Our greenhouse will be open too!  Our U-Pick strawberry patch will be OPEN Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8AM - 4PM April 29, 30, and May 1.  There are plenty of ripe berries for everyone!

These berries are ripe, sweet, and juicy!

Today I was out picking in the patch with our son and he said, "I like picking strawberries.  It's like playing hide & go seek, just with berries."  

Here's my husband, Jake, always working behind the scenes, "in the shadows."  ;-) 

The greenhouse will also be open - same hours as the u-pick patch.  Come get some flowers, herbs, vegetables, and melons to plant in your yard.
