OPEN Monday 8AM - 3:00PM

Today our berries soaked up the warm sun and ripened up nicely! The patch has loads of berries ready to be picked.
After you pick, swing by our greenhouse to grab some plants for your landscape. This picture of our front patio was taken in August. Everything but the trees & elephant ear was from our greenhouse. Lots of zinnia, vinca, dianthus, basil, coleus, sage, dusty miller, salvia, and petunia. We love to keep lots of herbs really close to the front door so we can run out while we're cooking to add some fresh flavor. ๐Ÿ˜

OPEN Saturday, May 6th 8AM - 3PM

The warm, sunny weather today allowed the patch to ripen up nicely! Jake, Tatum, and Audrey have been working hard this week mowing and weed eating so that the patch is weed free, making for a pleasant picking experience. The weather's looking beautiful for Saturday, so come on out and enjoy picking some sweet, juicy strawberries!

Now that the weather's warming up, if you're looking to start a garden, we have plenty of bedding plants for you. If you want to landscape your yard, we have a wide variety of affordable options that will keep your yard looking fantastic!

CLOSED Friday, May 5th

Farm Update: We had A LOT of berries picked today at the patch and Browder's Fresh Pickins will be CLOSED FRIDAY. We'll be OPEN SATURDAY. The cooler weather we've had all week decreases the rate at which the berries ripen. Friday will be sunny and a bit warmer, so it will be a good day for the patch to ripen up for Saturday's picking. Friday evening after work, we'll evaluate the patch for ripeness and post Saturday's hours. Thank you for supporting our small family farm!

We'll be OPEN Wednesday, May 3rd, 8AM - 6PM

Sometimes folks ask us for recommendations on the best spots to pick. Jake's favorite place to pick is the middle-middle because it never gets as many pickers. There are 49 (double) rows, each 300 feet long, with 5 different varieties scattered about the patch. In general, the middle to back of each row has more ripe than the front half.

Special Event on Thursday: The Blackwater Regional Library is leading a Little Explorers Storytime. When our kids were toddlers, we lived for library storytime! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Check out the bedding plants in our greenhouse. Featuring 4 different varieties of cucumbers (Burpless Supreme, Bush Crop, Dasher II, & Pickling) & lots more veggies, flowers, & herbs.
