Our strawberry patch currently has more berries than ever! Thankfully, the weather has allowed the patch to really thrive at peak conditions for an extended period of time so far this season. The picking conditions are absolutely ideal and the flavor is incredible. It takes only minutes to fill a basket. Locals - grab your work bestie & swing by on your lunch break!

In addition, the greenhouse is slam packed with a fresh selection of bedding plants for a great value! Now is the time of year to plant your flower beds, garden & pots on the patio. Here are some of my current favorites!

Perennial BOGO Sale, Monday April 28 9AM - 5PM

 

The strawberry patch is incredibly plentiful, and we'll be open all week! I snapped this pic at closing time on Sunday. Even after an amazing weekend of picking, the patch is still going strong and loaded with plenty of berries for all! We are currently in peak production, and the berries are literally everywhere! We'll start picking several dozen baskets of pre-picked berries at 9AM, so swing by around mid-morning if you're in the area to pick up a pre-picked basket or two. Pre-picked berries are first-come, first-served, when available. U-pick is available anytime 9AM - 5PM.

The picking conditions right now are fantastic! Deep red, delicious berries are everywhere! The patch went from 0 to 60 in less than a week and the berries will practically jump into your basket. Open Thursday & Friday 9AM - 5PM. We'll also be open on Saturday, April 26th, 8AM - 5PM.

Field trip season is here! Soon, we look forward to welcoming Isle of Wight County Public Schools’ Culinary Arts students as they pick berries and enjoy a picnic lunch. Once back in the kitchen, they'll turn their strawberries into beautiful, tasty plates!

New this week: a Story Walk, created by our beloved local Smithfield Library. The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear is an adorably fun, quick read for all ages.

Happy Monday! After a day of rest the strawberry patch has loads of ripe berries! This morning at sunrise, I picked these 10 baskets in less than an hour. Our u-pick strawberry patch and greenhouse filled with bedding plants will be open all week, M-F 9AM - 5PM. We'll also have pre-picked berries available, while supplies last.

First Pickin' of the Season!

 

Our u-pick strawberry patch will be OPEN for the first pickin' of the season on Saturday, April 19th at 8AM! In addition, our greenhouse is filled with a wide variety of bedding plants including annual & perennial flowers, vegetables, and herbs. It's the very beginning of the strawberry season, so we anticipate we'll get picked out at some point on Saturday (possibly in the morning), but our u-pick fresh lettuce, spring onions, and greenhouse will remain open 8AM - 5PM.

Gathering for Easter dinner with friends & family? Come pick some fresh lettuce, spring onions and strawberries for an incredible salad. Pick up some geraniums, gerbera daisies, lavender, or petunias from our greenhouse to give to a grandchild or neighbor for Easter. Our farm will be closed on Easter Sunday.
