 Our U-Pick strawberry patch will be OPEN Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8AM - 4PM April 29, 30, and May 1.  There are plenty of ripe berries for everyone!

Today I was out picking in the patch with our son and he said, "I like picking strawberries.  It's like playing hide & go seek, just with berries."  

Here's my husband, Jake, always working behind the scenes, "in the shadows."  ;-) 

The greenhouse will also be open - same hours as the u-pick patch.  Come get some flowers, herbs, vegetables, and melons to plant in your yard.

U-Pick Strawberry Patch OPEN Tuesday, 9AM - 3PM! We have A LOT of berries in the patch! It's a great day to pick several baskets. Pro Tip: The ripest berries are in the back patch, left side. You'll see some ripe ones as you're headed towards the back patch, and you're welcome to pick them, but the pickin is much quicker in the back patch, left side. Berries are $10/basket, cash or check only. Also, the greenhouse will be OPEN, and we still have a good selection of flowers, herbs, melons, and vegetables. Strawberry Patch OPEN Sunday April 25th, 1PM - 5PM

 Hello! The patch is really loaded with berries this weekend. Since the rain is holding off a few more hours, we're extending today's hours - we'll be open until 3PM today (Saturday). We'll also be OPEN SUNDAY, April 25, from 1PM - 5PM. Also, shout out to my grandmother, who is visiting from the mountains this week - she makes the BEST jam. We picked a few baskets for her and she turned them into several dozen jars of this deliciousness!

U-Pick Strawberry Patch Open Wednesday

Our U-pick strawberry patch will be open Wednesday, April 21 from 8AM - 10:30AM.  Because it is so early in the season (and only one of our three varieties are ripe), we're just opening for a few hours at a time.  The berries need several days between picking to allow enough to ripen and sweeten up.  As always, the closer you come to opening time, the easier the picking will be.  $10/basket, cash or check only. Strawberry Update

 Hello! It's been great to see SOOO many of you this morning. Heads up - we are getting close to being picked out. The greenhouse will be open until Noon today, but the strawberries will be picked out soon. As for when we'll be open next...we'll post as soon as we know. It will likely be several days before we have enough ripe to open the patch up again. Please keep in mind that it is still very early in the picking season. Once the other two varieties are ripe, there will be lots more available. Thank you for supporting us!

Strawberry Patch is OPEN!

Our U-Pick Strawberry Patch will be OPEN tomorrow, Sunday, April 18 from 9AM - Noon, or until we get picked out.  We grow three varieties of strawberries, Sweet Charlie, Chandler, and Ruby June.  The Sweet Charlies are an early variety, and those are the only ones currently ripe - today's weather really ripened them up!  The other two will be ripe within the next couple of weeks.  The closer you come to opening time, the easier it will be to fill your basket. All of the Sweet Charlies are in the back patch, just look for the tall strawberry flag & "Pick Here" signs in the back patch.  Strawberries are $10/basket, on the honor system, which means you place your (exact change) Cash or Check made out to Browder's Fresh Pickins in the black box near the gate.  When you get to the patch you'll see tables set up just outside the deer fence.  Simply take a bag, place it in the basket:

Please keep the bag in the basket until you walk back to the green bins near the gate.  We'll wash and sanitize the baskets to be re-used.

Bedding Plants for Sale

 

We're excited to announce we're opening the greenhouse this weekend!  We'll have flowers, herbs, and vegetable plants for sale.  We have lots of varieties of different plants - here's pictures of just a few of them.  We'll be open 7AM - 5PM on Saturday, April 17.  Our u-pick strawberry patch will be opening at some point in the near future, just waiting to see how quickly they ripen up before we announce an opening date.
